backfire

Here’s a phrase I bet you’ve never said: “I hit myself in the face with a crowbar while opening my sunroof.” I, however, have. While trying to leverage my sunroof open as mentioned in my last post, the crowbar itself staged a coup and turned on me, swinging around and striking a swift blow right in my mouth. It drew blood, and I was stunned. Up until this point, I had assumed the crowbar was on my side of this little battle. Me and ol’ Crowey vs. the sunroof. It seems clear at this point that it is unhappy with work conditions or pay rate or something, but we’ll find out for sure in the upcoming labor negotiations.

I guess you could say it really is on strike, quite literally.

So I guess the little wrench thing they stick in the binder thing with the owner’s manual thing doesn’t work, right? Is it rusty in the tracks, perhaps? If you like the smell of WD40, you could hose it down and try again… (I’m sure you’re tried all this; I just have a compulsion to improve things that are mildly broken or just work poorly. Even when I can’t see them.)

This wrench thing intrigues me. There was no wrench, or owners manual for that matter, when I bought it 5 years ago.

From what I can tell, the technical term for the condition of the sunroof is “Royally Hosed”. There are small broken plastic things that appear to be spring-like in their function that are protruding into places they shouldn’t be, causing grinding and cracking sounds whenever I force it open. I don’t know what originally happened to cause this condition, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it involved stereo theft.

    That’s adding injury to insult

Dude, if you need for that car to “go away” just let me know… and leave $20 under the floormat.
You should get full coverage first though, btw.
